Eastmark is a master-planned community located in the heart of Mesa, Arizona. It covers an area of 3,200 acres and offers a variety of homes, amenities and activities for its residents. Eastmark is ranked the #1 best-selling master plan in Arizona for its unique culture and lifestyle.
History of the Area
The land where Eastmark now stands was once part of the Williams Air Force Base, which operated from 1941 to 1993. The base was named after Charles Linton Williams, a pilot who died in a crash near Mesa in 1927. The base played an important role in training pilots during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
After the base was closed, the land was transferred to the Arizona State Land Department and later sold to DMB Associates, a real estate development company. DMB Associates envisioned creating a mixed-use community that would honor the legacy of the base and foster innovation and education.
In 2012, DMB Associates announced the name of the community: Eastmark, which reflects its location in the East Valley and its mark on the region’s future. Construction began in 2013 and the first residents moved in later that year.
